F. Lorraine Jahn

F. LORRAINE JAHN earned her Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Barry University in 1985 and her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1988. While attending the University of Miami, Ms. Jahn served as a member of the Executive Board of the University of Miami Law Review and was honored to be chosen as a member of the University of Miami's Order of Wig and Robe and its Order of Bar and Gavel. Ms. Jahn is admitted to practice before the Courts of Florida, the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Ms. Jahn is also recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as an AV-rated attorney emblematic of an attorney who has reached the pinnacle of professional excellence and who has exhibited the highest levels of skill and integrity.

Ms. Jahn has lectured in the areas of creditors' rights and bankruptcy law and her research on bankruptcy issues has been published in national legal publications. From 1989 to 1992, Ms. Jahn served as an instructor at the University of Miami School of Law, where she taught legal research and writing and appellate advocacy.

Ms. Jahn's practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy law, creditors' rights, commercial litigation, corporate law, and estate planning. Her experience includes the representation of clients with creditor claims in bankruptcy cases under all chapters of the United States Bankruptcy Code, the re-organization of corporate debtors in bankruptcy, receiverships, mortgage foreclosures, loan work-outs, construction contract matters, enforcement of restrictive covenants, business torts, and landlord/tenant cases. In addition to matters involving litigation of disputes, Ms. Jahn has regularly been called upon to represent clients in estate planning matters and numerous matters relating to both privately-held and publicly-traded corporations. Her representative clients range from multi-state lending institutions to individual investors. Ms. Jahn represents publicly-traded and privately-held corporations and partnerships in both corporate re-organizations and state court receiverships.

Ms. Jahn currently serves as a member of the American Bar Association Bankruptcy and Insolvency Litigation Committee, The Florida Bar Bankruptcy and UCC Committee and The Florida Bar Business Law Committee. Ms. Jahn is also a member of the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the International Women's Insolvency and Reorganization Confederation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association.

In addition to her professional practice, Ms. Jahn is active in numerous community activities. She currently serves as a director of the Rothschild Charitable Foundation and a member of the Howard Blake Senior High School Advisory Board. Ms. Jahn is a member of the Junior Orange Bowl Committee and serves an integral role in the planning and execution of the largest children's festival in the United States. Ms. Jahn was a 1990 participant in the Leadership Miami Program sponsored by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
